All Sports Speed and Agility Trainer
As a certified fitness trainer, Arthur Avant developed "TeamAvant".
He trains people of all ages on how to become physically, mentally and spiritually fit through regular exercise, track and field, weightlifting and healthy eating habits. He has also conducted numerous speed training camps for young athletes. regularly takes disadvantaged youth to track and field events throughout the state Mississippi and some out-of-state competitions, instilling in them the value of leading a wholesome healthy life.
TOP ATHLETES TRAINED
Some of the top athletes Arthur has trained include D.K. Metcalf, football wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, National Football League. In his first regular season game in September 2019, Metcalf set a franchise record for total receiving yards by a player making his NFL debut. Metcalf set careers highs in receptions and receiving yards in other games and finished the regular season with 900 receiving yards (third among NFL rookies) on 58 receptions with seven receiving touchdowns, second on the team in all three categories.
Another athlete coached by Arthur is Trell Kimmons, USA Track and Field Team member, who is ranked third fastest in the 60-meter dash indoors. Kimmons finished the second fastest in the United States in the 100 meters at the U.S. Nationals and ranked in the Top 10 in the world in the 100-meter dash.
PERSONAL SPORTS ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Due to his dedication to community service and helping children stay out of trouble, Arthur was selected by the USA Olympic Committee to carry the Olympic Torch in Arkansas in 2002.

Player of the Week – Texas Southern University (12 punts, 42.2 avg.)
Ranked 14th in the nation (81 punts, 40 yd. avg.) – longest punt (63 yards) against Jackson State University
